CHRONIC CASE PRESENTATION - HYPERTENSION
A 42 yrs old male patient came to my clinic on 19th April 2010, suffering from hypertension since last 6 months which was accompanied by restlessness and anxiety, during acute attack of hypertension he had strong desire to weep, he
was also complaining of pain in knees since last one and half years and sleeplessness and eructation since long. Teeth were sensitive to cold things. Thermally he was hot++, he had neglected feeling from father's side and since childhood there was difference of opinion with his younger brother. He always used to suppress his feelings, was unable to take decisions easily, very much affectionate, easily forgive othershers, feels himself a failure. If someone consoles him he felt very good, while telling this his eyes got wet. His sister told me that he was very shy since childhood; there was history of suppressed skin eruptions.
Body language matching with his nature (on observation):
• Sitting posture- with cross legged like a female, throughout the case taking- confirmed his reserved, shy and soft nature.
• Tears in eyes- while telling- confirmed his weeping disposition.
• Hand-shake- very soft and warm- confirmed his affectionate disposition.

PULSATILLA 200 / 1 dose followed by placebo for 15 days was given. After follow up, on 3rd May 2010, it was found that his sleep was improved and he was comparatively feeling active. But there was no change in knee pain and blood pressure was 130/100 mm hg, but restlessness and anxiety during raised blood pressure was improved.
Again PULSATILLA 200 / 1dose followed by placebo for one week was given. He again came on 12th May 10. He was comparatively feeling more active. Sleep>>>. Knee pain >>>. Before coming to me he had some argument with his labor, he told me whenever this type of incident happens he gets very nervous and he feels as if his blood pressure has increased.
But this time he doesn't felt so nervous, blood pressure was 140/96 mm Hg, then I gave him a single dose of PULSATILLA 1M and told him to sit in waiting room for some time. After about 15 minutes of giving medicine blood pressure was rechecked and it was 120/90 mm Hg, placebo was given for 15 days. When he came on 25th May 2010 he told that once during this period he had an episode of coryza with fever, but he took no other medicine for it and recovered spontaneously.
Generally he was feeling better, blood pressure was 120/90 mm Hg. Placebo was given for two weeks. On 12th June 2010, Sleep>>>, active++, knee pain>>>, eructation>>>, nervousness>>> blood pressure 120/80 mm hg. Placebo was continued and a healthy life style was advised to keep his problems stable because if it is not maintained it will act as an obstacle in the path of recovery.
